President Zelensky is in Norway

President Zelensky has just landed in Norway.    

‘I am very pleased to have the opportunity to welcome Volodymyr Zelensky to Norway. Norway stands firm in its support to Ukraine. All the parties in the Storting have recently reached agreement on increasing funding to Ukraine. Norway supports Ukraine in its fight to defend itself and is contributing to the effort to achieve a lasting, just peace in the country. I look forward to constructive discussions on how Norway can best provide assistance to Ukraine in both the short term and the long term,’ said Prime Minister Støre.

President Zelensky and Prime Minister Støre will have several meetings today. Minister of Finance Jens Stoltenberg, Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide and Minister of Defence Tore Sandvik will also take part in a working meeting together with the delegation accompanying the Ukrainian President.

For security reasons, no details about the President’s programme in Norway will be provided.

President Zelensky and Prime Minister Støre will hold a press conference at approximately 15:00. The live stream from the press conference will open 5-10 minutes before it starts, at which time the media can notify the public that the press conference is about to begin. 

The press conference will be recorded by the Norwegian Central Government ICT Organisation (DIO) and may be watched live from this site.
