The Labour Court

The Labour Court is a special court that handles disputes regarding the validity and interpretation of collective agreements and certain disputes concerning the interpretation of the Labour Disputes Act and the Public Service Disputes Act, disputes about breaches of collective agreements, and sanctions for such breaches.

The Labour Court also handles disputes about liability for breaches of agreements and illegal work stoppages. The Labour Court is established under the Labour Disputes Act, § 7, and is assigned tasks under the Public Service Disputes Act.
