Mr Even Eriksen (Lab.) (b. 1995) was appointed State Secretary to the Minister of Justice and Public Security Ms Astri Aas-Hansen on February 4, 2025. He previously served as State Secretary to former Minister of Justice and Public Security Ms Emilie Enger Mehl, from 2023 to 2025. 

Prior to his appointment as State Secretary, Mr Eriksen was a Member of the Storting from 2021 to 2023. In this period, he sat on the Standing Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs and was a member of the Storting’s Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. 

Mr Eriksen has also been an elected representative at the local level, including in Trysil Municipality and Innlandet County.

The State Secretary is from Trysil. He holds a law degree from the University of Oslo.
