Ms Kristine Joy Nordenson Kallset (Lab.) (b. 1978) was appointed State Secretary to the Minister of Justice and Public Security Ms Astri Aas-Hansen on February 4, 2025.

Prior to her appointment as State Secretary, Ms Kallset served as State Secretary from 2021 to 2025 and concurrently as Chief of Staff from 2021 to 2024 to the Prime Minister, Mr. Jonas Gahr Støre.

Ms Kallset has previously held a number of positions in the Labour Party, both at the local level and nationally, including that of Assistant Secretary.

The State Secretary is from Oslo and holds a cand.mag. degree from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Oslo.
