Department for Human Resources and Organisational Management

The department consists of the following sections

• Section for Financial Affairs

  The Section for Financial Affairs is responsible for financial management in the Foreign Service.

• Section for Public Law and Information Management

  The Section for Public Law and Information Management is responsible for areas of law relating to Norwegian private and public law.

• Section for Security and Property Management

  The Section for Security and Property Management establishes the framework and provides the advice needed to adequately safeguard the Foreign Service’s employees, information, and property portfolio in Norway and abroad.

• Section for Staff Rotation, Recruitment and Competence Development

  The Section for Staff Rotation, Recruitment and Competence Development works to ensure that the Ministry has the right people with the right competence in the right place at the right time.

• Section for Human Resources

  The Unit for Employer’s Affairs takes a proactive approach to fulfilling the Foreign Service’s responsibilities as an employer, and works to ensure good working conditions and promote an inclusive working environment for all employees.

• Section for Organisational Development and Digital Services

  The Section for Organisational Development and Digital Services is responsible for drawing up organisational strategies and carrying out change processes in the Foreign Service.
