Annually Norway sends a report to the OECD – Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The report Immigration and Integration 2018–2019 – Report for Norway to the OECD is a contribution to the reporting system on migration for the OECD countries.
The most recent report covers 2018 and to some extent 2019. It was prepared during the autumn of 2019 by the Ministry of Education and Research in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Children and Families, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The report contains statistics on migration, on the composition of immigrants and their Norwegian-born children and on integration indicators in various social areas, mainly based on data from Statistics Norway and the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration. The report presents an overview of immigration and integration policy principles and measures. It covers the major types of immigration, integration in general, training, education, labour market issues, political participation, child welfare, discrimination, citizenship, public debate and opinion, as well as policies concerning migration and development. It also lists some recent relevant publications that are available in English or contain a summary in English.
