Public participation and dialogue in planning processes is strengthening and developing the local democracy. This guide aims to present principles and case studies of public participation in the planning processes according to the Planning and Building Act of 2008.
The Act covers community and land use planning. The principle of Universal Design, and children and adolescents and their living conditions are highlighted by the preamble as democratic premises in the planning for a sustainable development.
