Meeting between Mexico's Minister of Energy Dr. Luis Tellez and the Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy Marit Arnstad

On Thursday 19 March the Mexican Minister for Energy Dr. Luis Tellez met with the Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy Marit Arnstad in Oslo.

Mexico and Norway have for many years had meetings on both senior civil servant level and on political level. On the political level Mexico and Norway have had six meetings the last six years. Like Norway, Mexico is a substantial producer and exporter of energy, and on many issues the two countries have coinciding interests.

At the meeting Thursday Mexico and Norway discussed and exchanged views of general bilateral interest and issues related to oil policy. The current situation in the oil market was also discussed along with possible future development trends.

The two Ministers have agreed to stay in close contact in the time to come.
