The Prime Minister is on sick leave for one week
The Prime Minister, Mr. Kjell Magne Bondevik, has by his physician been put on sick leave, preliminarily for one week beginning Sunday 30 August, because of a depressive reaction due to overload.
The Minister of Culture, Ms. Anne Enger Lahnstein, is Acting Prime Minister during Mr. Bondevik’s absence.
The Prime Minister’s planned visit to the Middle East 7-12 September, has been postponed.
