10th Anniversay of the Barents Euro-Arctic Cooperation

Kirkenes, Norway 10-11 January 2003

Meetings will take place aboard the "MS Trollfjord". The ship will berth at Industrikaia (Industrial Quay) in Kirkenes from Friday morning 10 January to Saturday 11 January at 9.00 am, and again from Saturday 11 January from 11.00 am. In the morning hours of Saturday 11 January the ship will cruise in the Kirkenes inlet of the Varanger Fjord. Celebrations will continue at the Borderland Museum in Kirkenes on Saturday afternoon 11 January.

The meeting’s press centre will be located in Café Viking Hall on deck 5 on the "Trollfjord". The centre will be equipped with telephone, telefax, internet access and copying facilities. The press centre will be open Friday 10 January 11.00 am-8.30 pm and Saturday 11 January 8.00 am-11.30 am.

Accredited press may check in on the "Trollfjord" from 11.00 am Friday 10 January – at the reception desk on deck 4. Press having booked cabins on board, will find these on deck 4. Press are requested to settle their cabin expenses well before the meeting moves to the Kirkenes Borderland Museum Saturday 11 January at 11.45 am.

It will not be possible to return to the "Trollfjord" after the events at the Borderland Museum on Saturday afternoon. The ship will leave Kirkenes on Saturday 11 January at 1.30 pm, southbound for i.a. Tromsø. Interested press may book tickets from the ship’s purser.
