Foreign Minister Petersen condemns terrorist attack in Jerusalem
"I strongly condemn yesterday’s terrorist attack in Jerusalem," said Foreign Minister Jan Petersen. Twenty Israelis were killed, and more than 110 injured.
"The implementation of the Quartet’s Road Map for peace has now reached a critical stage. The people responsible for this attack are trying to obstruct the peace efforts," said Mr Petersen. "Now it is absolutely essential that both the Palestinian Authority and Israel continue to implement the measures set out in the Road Map. They must not allow terrorists to determine their policies."
"I expect the Palestinian Authority to do its utmost to find those who are responsible for this appalling act. Palestinian terrorist networks must be dismantled in accordance with the requirements of the Road Map," said the Foreign Minister.
