Foreign Minister Petersen visits the United Kingdom from 30 November to 2 December

Foreign Minister Petersen will meet the British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Jack Straw, at 10.00 hrs on 1 December in London. They will discuss a number of issues, including the situation in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, the Middle East, Transatlantic relations and European matters. The Ministers will also sign a memorandum of understanding regarding co-operation on addressing nuclear legacy issues in North West Russia. In the afternoon Foreign Minister Petersen will meet the British-Norwegian All-Party Parlamentary Group.

On 2 December Foreign Minister Petersen has been invited to deliver a lecture at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies about ”Building Bridges between the Muslim World and the West”.
