New board of directors appointed for NORFUND

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed a new board of directors for the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries (NORFUND). The board will take up its duties on 1 June this year, and its term of office will be four years. (02.06)

New board of directors appointed for NORFUND
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed the following board of directors for the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries (NORFUND):
Einar Steensnæs, Haugesund, chair
Borger A. Lenth, Koppang, deputy chair
Grete Faremo, Oslo, member
Marianne Damhaug, Oslo, member
Åsa Sildnes, Averøy, member
Knut Borch, Tromsø, deputy member
Ove Christian Bugge, Kolbotn, deputy member
The board will take up its duties on 1 June this year, and its term of office will be four years. As Mr Steensnæs is currently a member of the Storting (the Norwegian parliament), the deputy chair will act as chair until Mr Steensnæs steps down from the Storting. Mr Steensnæs will not, therefore, assume the chairship until 1 October this year.
