Successful presidential election in Kyrgyzstan
“It is very positive that the presidential election in Kyrgyzstan has, on the whole, been conducted in accordance with fundamental democratic principles,” said State Secretary Sylvi Graham of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a comment on the election that was held on 10 July.
“Kyrgyzstan will have to address many challenges in the time to come, but the election gives grounds for optimism about the future development of the country and the stability of the region. Norway will continue to develop bilateral ties and project co-operation with Kyrgyzstan,” Ms Graham added.
