Mr. Einar Steensnæs, the Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, and Mr. Petr Sadovnik, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, today signed a Co-operation Program on an energy dialogue.

The Norwegian and Russian energy authorities are enhancing the energy dialogue on issues of mutual interest for the two countries. In addition, the purpose of the dialogue will be to promote investment projects with participation of companies from both countries.

The energy dialogue will concern issues like resource management , environmental issues and safety, technology, oil and natural gas markets, as well as issues related to energy policy, legislation etc.

Both ministers express their satisfaction with a strengthened energy dialogue, and plan to meet at regular intervals in the future.
