Norway’s Prime Minister offers
condolences to French colleague
Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik of Norway today sent the following letter of condolences to his French colleague, Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin:
”Dear colleague, Let me in this way express the grief now felt in Norway at the shipwreck of the French fishing vessel Cistude and the loss of several human lives.
I have closely followed this case since the tragic event, and I can assure you that Norwegian authorities will do their utmost to quickly bring to light what has taken place, clarify lines of responsibility and react accordingly.
As a shipping nation our condolences are profoundly felt.
Yours sincerely
Kjell Magne Bondevik”.
