The Office of the Prime Minister has appointed Mr. Øistein Mjærum (29), information advisor, Oslo, as political advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister from 3 December 2002. The appointment will strengthen press and information activities at the office.

Mr. Mjærum today works at the Christian Democratic Party’s Storting (parliament) secretariat. He comes from Ringsaker in the County of Hedmark, and holds a cand. mag. degree from the University of Oslo - in political science, theology and administration.

The Government represents the Conservative Party (C), the Christian Democratic Party (Chr.) and the Liberal Party (Lib.).
