in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs


The Office of the Prime Minister has appointed Ms. Marit Berger (24), political advisor, Oslo, as political advisor in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (foreign affairs) from 10 March 2003. She will succeed Ms. Janne Johnsen, who was appointed state secretary in the Ministry of Fisheries on 31 January 2003.

Ms. Marit Berger is now political advisor to the Oslo City Commissioner for Hospitals and Specialised Health Care. She has been political advisor to the Mayor of Oslo. She has also been chairman of Akershus Young Conservatives, deputy chairman of the Young Conservatives of Norway and member of Akershus County Council. She has exams in law from the University of Oslo.

The Government represents the Conservative Party (C), the Christian Democratic Party (Chr.) and the Liberal Party (Lib.).
