The Office of the Prime Minister has appointed Ms. Wenche Fone (31), political advisor, Kristiansand, as political advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister from 4 August 2003. She will succeed Mr. Harald Solberg, who was appointed state secretary in the Ministry of Finance on 1 August 2003.

Ms. Wenche Fone has been working as a political advisor at the Christian Democratic Party’s Storting (parliament) secretariat. She is on leave of absence from the job as information advisor in the secretariat. Ms. Fone has been working as head of information in Flyktningebistand AS and as consultant in Konsensus AS. She has exams is political science, anthropology and development studies from the University of Oslo and Oslo University College (Høgskolen i Oslo). She also holds a Masters Degree in Development Studies from the University of Bristol.

The Government represents the Conservative Party (C), the Christian Democratic Party (Chr.) and the Liberal Party (Lib.).
