The Office of the Prime Minister has from 24 January 2005 appointed Mr. Ivan Pettersen (28), political advisor, Oslo, as acting political advisor to Ms. Kristin Krohn Devold in the Ministry of Defence, during the leave of absence of Mr. Bengt Eidem.

Ivan Pettersen, who comes from Sandnessjøen, now comes from the post as political advisor to the Conservative Party’s parliamentary group. His fields of responsibility there have been control, constitutional and defence matters. He is Cand. Polit. from the University of Oslo since 2004, with political science as his major subject.
