Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik
Speech at the Opening of Milano Exhibition,
St. Olav Festival 2002
Olavskvartalet in Trondheim, 26 July 2002
Dear guests,
It is a great pleasure for me to attend the opening of this very exciting exhibition, which includes posters from the Piccolo Teatro di Milano, from the year 1947 until today.
After being presented in the National Theatre in Oslo this spring, this exhibition has now been moved to Trondheim, and will be a vital part of the 40 th> St. Olav Festival, especially because the festival this year has Italy as its main theme. This event is also another important symbol of the good connections and relationship between Italy and Norway.
I hope that the network between Italy and Norway will be used and strengthened also in the years to come. I am looking forward to seeing this very special exhibition myself, and I wish everybody welcome to enjoy this part of the history of the Piccolo Teatro.
With these words I declare the exhibition “Il Piccolo Teatro di Milano” for opened.
