New State Secretaries

In today’s session of the Council of State, the King has appointed the following state secretaries:

- Mr. Jan Erik Larsen (36), group managing editor, Kristiansund, at the Office of the Prime Minister

- Ms. Ellen Mo (48), high court judge, Oslo, in the Ministry of Finance from 3 April 2000

- Mr. Sverre Bugge (47), director, Lørenskog, in the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development

- Mr. Lars Erik Flatø (35), director of health and social affairs, Oslo, in the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, health affairs

- Ms. Anne Lise Ryel (41), gender equality ombudsman, Oslo, in the Ministry of Justice and the Police.

Ms. Anne Lise Ryel will retire from her post as gender equality ombudsman.

Also in today’s session of the Council of State, Ms. Fatma Bhanji Jynge has been honourably discharged from her office as state secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.

Jens Stoltenberg’s government was appointed on 17 March 2000. It represents the Labour Party. The list of state secretaries is as follows:
