Maktens høyborg
(Citadel of Power)
Dag Berggrav (ed.)
This book examines how the Office of the Prime Minister has grown during the last fifty years from the two or three employees of Johan Nygaardsvold's staff in 1945 ut to the present staff which numbers around fifty. The book features contributions from all living prime ministers, in addition to portraits of prime ministsters by persons having worked closely with them. Moreover, some articles describe the architecture and art at the Office of the Prime Minister, and the book also has comprehensive overviews of politicians and permanent staff at the Office since 1945.
