Award of new licences in the North Sea – North Sea Awards 2000
The Government will invite the oil companies to nominate, within 15 June 2000, the areas they would like to see included in the North Sea Awards 2000. This would make it possible to award new licences at the turn of the year 2000-2001. The awards could contribute to new activity and thus strengthen the employment in the industry, says Olav Akselsen, Minister of Petroleum and Energy.
