On 3 September, Minister of Culture and Church Affairs, Mr Trond Giske announced the 6 selected contestants to be invited to participate in a separate Phase 2 programme.

The Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs has instructed Statsbygg - Public Construction and Property, Norway - to initiate the planning of a new, collective building complex to house the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design on the site of the old Railway Station West, Vestbanen, in Oslo.
