Statsbygg - Public Construction and Property, Norway - has been instructed by the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs to initiate the planning of a new, collective building complex to house the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design on the site of the old Railway Station West, Vestbanen, in Oslo.

Statsbygg hereby invite entries for an open, international planning and design competition for architects. The competition will take place in two phases.
Phase 1 is an open, international competition at a general level. Phase 2 is an invitational competition for refinement and detailed design, where selected contestants from Phase 1 will be asked to participate.

The competition will be announced on Doffin and TED, Tenders European Daily at 4 p.m. Monday 30 March.
