Political Adviser Roger Solheim is acting State Secretary from 7th of March 2011 while Lotte Grepp Knutsen is on leave. Roger Solheim was appointed Political Adviser for Minister of Culture Anniken Huitfeldt on 28 October 2009. Solheim’s previous position was that of Head of Information in the Football Association of Norway (NFF). From 13 January until 16 August 2010 he was appointed acting State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture. Roger Solheim is currently on leave.

Roger Solheim was appointed Political Adviser for Minister of Culture Anniken Huitfeldt on 28 October 2009. Solheim’s previous position was that of Head of Information in the Football Association of Norway (NFF). From 13 January until 16 August 2010 he was appointed acting State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.
Mr Solheim has terminated his employment relationship with the NFF as a consequence of his political role in the Ministry of Culture. For the first six months, in order to avoid questions of legal competence, Mr Solheim will not take part in the preparation of cases in which the NFF is a party.
Mr Solheim has held political positions for the Labour Party previously: as a political adviser in the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and as a political secretary in Troms County Council. Mr Solheim holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Oslo in politics and administration, economics, mathematics and statistics. He has also studied information and information management at the BI - the Norwegian School of Management (part of the Master of Management programme).
