Elroy Dimson (Chair) is emeritus professor of finance at the London Business School and visiting professor at Cambridge Judge Business School. His research is primarily within asset management and investment strategy. Recently he has looked at topics within responsible investments. He has received many prizes, for example the Moskowitz Prize for 2012 for the article "Active Ownership". Dimson has published a number of articles and books. Dimson also chaired the Strategy Council in 2010 and 2011 and knows the GPFG well. He has held a number of other positions, for example as editor of academic journals, member of various boards and investment committees and adviser to financial institutions and consultancies.
Idar Kreutzer heads Finance Norway (FNO), a trade organisation. He worked at Storebrand from 1992 to summer 2012, the last 12 years as CEO. Kreutzer holds many corporate positions in Norway, for example as Chairman of the Corporate Assembly in Orkla, and Vice-Chairman of the Corporate Assembly in Statoil. He is Chairman of Posten Norge and the Norwegian Refugee Council. Kreutzer was a Council Member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and Chairman for 11 years, until 2012. Kreutzer has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics.
Rob Lake has extensive responsible investment experience. He was previously Head of Sustainability and Governance at the Dutch pension manager APG (manager of the ABP pension fund). He is now Director of Responsible Investment at Principles for Responsible Investments (PRI). Lake has broad and cutting edge knowledge of international responsible investment practice. He regularly takes part in international contexts where responsible investment is discussed and in many projects where such practices are further developed. Lake is for example a member of the International Integrated Reporting Council's permanent working group.
Hege Sjo has extensive experience with the exercise of ownership rights. She has been responsible for Continental Europe at Hermes Investment Management Ltd's ownership division in London. The company dedicates significant resources to ownership and has developed thorough competencies within the field of RI. Sjo has continued to work for Hermes after her return to Norway a couple of years ago. She holds a postgraduate degree in corporate finance from the Norwegian School of Economics and has previously worked for the Oslo Stock Exchange, amongst other things as Chief Financial Officer and Markets Director. Sjo is a board member at Polarcus, Det norske oljeselskap, Wilh. Wilhelmsen and Marine Harvest.
Laura Starks is a finance professor at the University of Texas. She has extensive experience and has published a number of articles in recognised academic journals. Her main field is within institutional investments and corporate governance, but she has also worked with more quantitative and financially oriented research areas. Starks is a trustee for funds offered by the large American pension fund TIAA-CREF. She also holds various other positions.
