The Ministry of Finance arranged a seminar on January 20, 2010, to discuss the future role of active management of the Government Pension Fund Global (Statens pensjonsfond utland).
The ministry has asked the consulting firm Mercer Ltd. and an international group consisting of Professors Andrew Ang (Columbia Business School), Stephen Schaefer (London Business School) and William N. Goetzmann (Yale School of Management) to prepare reports on the use of active management of the Government Pension Fund Global.
