The Club suisse de la presse/Geneva Press Club will be the press centre during the Geneva Sri Lanka Peace Talks.
Journalists wishing access to the media opportunities in connection with the talks must register at secretariat@csp.ge.ch and obtain a valid accreditation card.
The UN Geneva Office Press Card (green card) is considered as a valid accreditation card. All other journalists must contact the Geneva Press Club office where accreditation cards will be issued on presentation of a valid national press card and a valid ID card.
The Geneva Press Club will be open for registration and accreditation on Monday 20 February from 12.00 to 17.00 and Tuesday 21 February from 10.00 to 17.00.
- The press centre at the Geneva Press Club will be open on Wednesday 22 February from 07.00 to17.00 and Thursday 23 February from 09.00 to 18.00.
Please note that the only access to the venue for the talks will be by the buses provided by the Swiss government departing from the Geneva Press Club (“La Pastorale”). Access for journalists is limited to the following two media opportunities:
- Wednesday 22 February: Bus transport will depart from the Geneva Press Club at 07.00 in time for the opening statements by the facilitator of the talks, Norwegian Minister of International Development Erik Solheim and Swiss Political Director of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Urs Ziswiler.
- Thursday 23 February: Bus transport will depart from the Geneva Press Club at 16.00 in time for a media briefing immediately after the adjournment of the talks.
