Terror bombings in Amman
“I strongly condemn yesterday’s terrorist attacks on three hotels in Amman. Once again innocent civilians have borne the brunt of terrorists’ evil deeds. My deepest sympathy goes to those who were injured or lost their loved ones, and to all the people of Jordan,” said Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
“Until now Jordan has been spared terrorist acts of this magnitude. The fact that the terrorists have now struck out at one of the most reform-oriented countries in the region gives cause for deep concern. Yesterday’s attacks underscore the need to intensify the international cooperation on combating terrorism and strengthen our dialogue with the countries of the Middle East,” said the Foreign Minister.
