Nobel Peace Prize 2008. Press guidance

This year’s Nobel Peace Prize will be awarded in the Oslo City Hall on Wednesday 10 December at 1300 hours. 

The prize winner, Martti Ahtisaari , will give a press conference at the Nobel Institute, Henrik Ibsens gate 51, on Tuesday 9 December at 1300.   

A press centre will be established at Grand Hotel, 6th floor (Norwegian 7th floor) in connection with the awarding of the Peace Prize.  The press centre will open on Tuesday 9 December at 1000 hours.   

After the ceremony in the Oslo City Hall, CNN will broadcast alive an interview with the award winner at 17 hours in the City Hall.  Reporters are invited as audience. 

All media rights belong to Nobel Media AB. NRK may on request provide footage not exceeding five minutes for use in regular News broadcasts by television companies that are members of EBU.

In addition to press accreditation, a seat ticket will be required for access to Oslo Spektrum.  For media with confirmed accreditation, accreditation badge and ticket can be picked up at the press room, located at the 3rd floor of the Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel, next door to Oslo Spektrum. The press room will be open 11 December.

A press conference will be arranged at the Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel on 11 December.
