Edvard Munch is one of the few Norwegian artists to have won international renown.

This is why the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wants to reach out to various centres of expertise, the media, the general public and – not least – the younger generation in connection with the 150^th anniversary of his birth.

We attach importance to increasing awareness of Munch’s life and his unique and diverse work.
