The Energy+ initiative encourages active participation by partners and the involvement of other interested actors in the development of Energy+.

Civil society has already voiced strong support for Energy+, and there have been calls for a clear role for civil society within the partnership.

Civil Society Consultations

The Energy+ Secretariat facilitated the involvement of civil society at the global level by holding a consultation during the Rio 20+ Conference in 2012. This consultation highlighted the potential role of NGOs and ways they can contribute to the further development of Energy+. A summary of the consultation can be found here.
