The new theme page summarises the following research:
Research policy in Norway is organised according to the so-called sector principle. This gives each ministry the responsibility for research in its sector. That entails that the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development has overall responsibility for research and knowledge development in its policy areas. The Ministry conducts research on topics in:
- The local government sector’s future structure, tasks and finances
- Regional development with emphasis on economic development and attractive local communities
- Improvement of democratic participation
- Facilitation of well-functioning housing markets and housing solutions for disadvantaged people and a sustainable development of the housing and building sector.
