Norway and UK Energy Ministers met in London Wednesday
Mr. Odd Roger Enoksen, Norwegian
Minister of Petroleum and Energy met with Mr. Malcolm Wicks, UK
Minister of State for Energy, in London today 26 October.
In the meeting, Mr. Enoksen emphasised the importance of
close energy relations between Norway and the UK.
– TheUKhas become more dependent on gas imports fromNorway, and Norwegian gas suppliers see theUKas a very important market for their gas, said Minister Enoksen. – In addition, I see a large potential for co-operation in the development of resources in our commonNorth Seacorridor.
Mr. Enoksen is accompanying the Norwegian Royal Family on their visit to London in connection with the celebration of 100 years of diplomatic connections between the two countries.
Earlier today, minister Odd Roger Enoksen spoke at the conference on British and Norwegian Oil and Gas Industry Collaboration. The conference was opened by King Harald of Norway and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Norway's Crown Prince Haakon was also present.
