Third meeting of the Indian-Norwegian Working Group on Hydrocarbons
Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Mr Odd Roger Enoksen, and Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India, H.E. Murli Deora, have signed the minutes of the 3rd. meeting of the Joint Working Group on Hydrocarbons.
-The meeting has taken the Indian-Norwegian co-operation in the petroleum sector several steps forward, states Mr Enoksen after the meeting. It is now up to the oil companies and the supply industry to agree upon concrete projects that provide enhanced business opportunities for both countries.
The meeting was the third meeting carried out in the same number of years. Memorandums of Understanding have previously been signed between Indian and Norwegian oil companies and supply industry and between research institutions in the two countries.
The meeting was held in New Delhi in connection with the visit of the Norwegian Crown Prince and Crown Princess. A delegation of more than 200 people representing various business sectors are participating.
The two first meetings in the Indian-Norwegian Working Group on Hydrocarbons took place in New Dehli in December 2004, and in Oslo in May 2005.
