Facts2008 - The Norwegian Petroleum Sector

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate and the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy hereby launch "Facts 2008 - The Norwegian petroleum sector". The publication provides a general overview of all relevant information regarding the Norwegian continental shelf.

Topics for the publication are: The Norwegian resource management model, exploration activities, development and operations, decommissioning and the gas management system. "Facts 2008" also describes the government petroleum revenues, environmental considerations in the Norwegian petroleum sector, petroleum resources and provides information on fields in production and fields under development. Facts2008 contains updated environmental data and is therefore published in June.
