The Minister of Petroleum and Energy’s primary objective of is to ensure high value creation through efficient and environment-friendly management of our energy resources. Minister Åslaug Haga was born in Akershus in 1959. Appointed Minister of Petroleum and Energy in September 2007. From 2005-2007 Minister of Local Government and Regional Development and Minister of Culture from 1999-2000. From 2001-2005 Member of Parliament. Åslaug Haga was elected leader of the Centre Party in 2003.
