Following the invitation from Minister of Trade and Industry Trond Giske, Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has visited Norway this week. Economic relations between Vietnam and Norway was discussed at a meeting at the ministry today.
Following the invitation from Minister of Trade and Industry Trond Giske, Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has visited Norway this week. Economic relations between Vietnam and Norway was discussed at a meeting at the ministry today.
- Work on a trade agreement between EFTA and Vietnam was high on the agenda of my meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Hai. We had several good conversations, Giske said.
The Deputy Prime Minister is accompanied by a large delegation – among them Deputy Foreign Minister Cuong, Vice Minister Dong of Planning and Investment Ministry and a number of leaders from Vietnamese companies.
Mr. Giske hosted a dinner for the Vietnamese delegation and also opened a Norwegian-Vietnamese business seminar at the DNV (Det Norske Veritas). At the seminar, Norwegian companies had the opportunity to meet the Deputy Prime Minister.
- It is positive that Norwegian and Vietnamese companies strengthen their cooperation. The Deputy Prime Minister's visit is part of our work to strengthen business contacts between the two contries, Giske said.
