Monday 17th of May, Bloomberg news agency reported that Norway has entered into an agreement with Indonesia to reduce deforestation and forest degradation in the country. Minister of Development and Environment, Mr. Erik Solheim, has the following comment to the news report:
- Norway has not entered into any agreement with Indonesia, but we can confirm that we are in a process where a possible agreement is discussed. We cannot give any details on this process now, neither about the content, the size nor the point of time for any possible future agreement, he says.
