Collaboration in climate policy, the work for a stronger and more coherent and efficient UN, the fight against child mortality, possibilities for Norwegian companies in Indonesia and Indonesia's role as bridge builder between the Islamic and the western world are important issues for the talks.

The Norwegian Prime Minister will later visit a local child health clinic where children are vaccinated against measles. The vaccinations are a part of a vaccination campaign and are financed by among others The GAVI Alliance, to which Norway is a contributor. In Africa these vaccine campaigns against measles have reduced the child mortality rate from 900,000 to 400,000 per year. Indonesia is in a position to reach the UN Millennium Goal number four, to reduce child mortality by two-thirds between 1990 and 2015.
