Climate change and environmental policy are the most important issues on the agenda during Prime Minister Stoltenberg's visit in China.
"Chinas development and politics, and the direction that this development takes, is going to affect the rest of the world profoundly. It is therefore important to establish dialog with China about the treat of climate change and environmental policy." The Prime Minister says, initiating his visit in China.

On March 25 the Norwegian Prime Minister arrived in Beijing on a three day program. During these three days he is going to preside on a seminar on energy management and efficiency, climate challenges and related technologies, discuss climate policy with Chinese students and talk about women rights at the Peking University, visit the Huaneng Power Plant and have meetings with among others Prime Minister Wen Jiabao.
"It is important that China makes a commitment to reduce emissions, and establish collaboration where countries like Norway may contribute financially to reduce emissions in China." The Prime Minister says.
