Hosting today’s talks in London on the importance of rainforests in the struggle against global warming, was Prince Charles, Prince of Wales.
Participating were also UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, European Commission Preisdent José Manuel Barroso, French President Nicolas Sarkozy,Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yodoyono, German Federal Chancellor Agnela Markel, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and World Bank President Robert Zoellick.
“This is very gratifying, quite in line with Norway’s policy and an important input in the process leading up to the climate summit in Copenhagen in December this year”, says Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.
