Norway’s Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg on 15 January sent a letter of condolences to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, following reports that many UN peace keepers and staff died in the earth quake in Haiti.
Norway’s Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg on 15 January sent a letter of condolences to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, following reports that many UN peace keepers and staff died in the earth quake in Haiti.
"The UN personnel gave their lives in the international effort to bring stability and development to the people of Haiti. In mourning their tragic death we are reminded of the necessity and nobility of their mission", Prime Minister Stoltenberg wrote.
