Change of state secretaries

Due to today’s changes in the Government, the King has appointed the following new state secretaries in the ministries:

• Ms. Kjersti Markusson (52), (state secretary), (Nordland) to Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg (from 22 October).
• Ms. Henriette Westhrin (34), (state secretary), (Kragerø), to Minister of Finance Kristin Halvorsen.
• Ms. Heidi Sørensen (37), (Member of Parliament), (Oslo), to Minister of the Environment and International Development Erik Solheim.
• Mr. Kjell Erik Øie (47), (state secretary), (Oslo), to Minister of Children and Equality Manuela Ramin-Osmundsen.
• Ms. Lisbeth Rugtvedt (40), (state secretary), (Oslo), to Minister of Education Bård Vegard Solhjell.
• Mr. Jens Revold (alder) (county councillor in Tromsø), (Tromsø) to Minister of Research and Higher Education Tora Aasland.

 At the same time the following state secretaries have been honourably discharged from their offices:

• State Secretary Bård Vegard Solhjell (Soc), to Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.
• State Secreatry Kjersti Markusson (Soc), to Minister of Finance Kristin Halvorsen (from 22 October).
• State Secretary Henriette Westhrin (Soc), to Minister of the Environment Helen Bjørnøy.
• State Secretary Kjell Erik Øie (Lab), to Minister of Children and Equality Karita Bekkemellem.
• State Secretary Lisbet Rugtvedt (Soc), to Minister of Education and Research Øystein Djupedal

Changes are effective as of today at 5.15 pm.
