In today’s session of the Council of State, the King has appointed Mr. Halvard Ingebrigtsen, acting state secretary, as state secretary to Minister of Culture and Church Affairs Trond Giske from 4 June. He succeeds Ms. Mette Gundersen, who has been honourably discharged from the office from the same date.

Mr. Ingebrigtsen has been acting state secretary in the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs since 12 October 2006, during Ms. Gundersen’s leave of absence. Mr. Ingebrigtsen was political advisor in the Ministry from 21 October 2005 to 12 October 2006.
