Stoltenberg condemns Bhutto’s assassination

The Prime Minister expresses sorrow on hearing the news of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination.

“We condemn this act as a serious assault on the efforts to restore democracy in Pakistan.

Benazir Bhutto was a controversial, but courageous champion of democracy in Pakistan. She was in the midst of this struggle when she was killed. Her death is a serious setback.

It is important that this evil deed is not allowed to derail the efforts to restore normalcy,” says Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.
