Giske chief of BLD until further notice

In today’s session of the Council of State the King has honourably discharged Minister of Children and Equality Manuela Ramin-Osmundsen from her office, after she tendered her resignation yesterday. At the same time Minister of Culture and Church Affairs Trond Giske has been appointed chief also of the Ministry of Children and Equality (BLD) until further notice. Both decisions are effective as of 1 pm today.

Other BLD political staff has as usual been discharged together with the Minister. Mr. Kjell Erik Øie has until further notice been reappointed as state secretary to Mr. Giske in BLD affairs, and Ms. Marthe Schrning Lund has until further notice been reappointed as political advisor to Mr. Giske in BLD affairs. Both decisions are effective as of 1 pm today.
