Political talks and Norwegian culture will be on the agenda when German Chancellor Angela Merkel visits Oslo on Saturday 12 April.
Political talks and Norwegian culture will be on the agenda when German Chancellor Angela Merkel visits Oslo on Saturday 12 April.
At 15.15 pm Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg will receive Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Office of the Prime Minister. A central issue will be Norwegian-German cooperation in the fields of climate and energy policy. Photo opportunity when the meeting starts.
At 16.25 Prime Minister Stoltenberg and Chancellor Merkel will visit the Munch Museum in Oslo. Photo opportunity outside at the arrival, and two photo pools indoors. Pool 1 will cover the visit to the restoration hall, with ANB, NRK/News, Scanpix and TV2News as Norwegian participants. Pool 2 will cover a guided tour of the museum, with Scanpix as Norwegian participant.
At 17.00 the Prime Minister and the Chancellor will have a joint press conference at the Munch Museum.
At 17.30 Prime Minister Stoltenberg has invited Chancellor Merkel for dinner in Oslo’s City Hall.
In the evening the Prime Minister and the Chancellor will participate at the opening of the new Opera House in Oslo, arriving at the Opera at 19.30.
Chancellor Angela Merkel will return to Berlin late in the evening.
